Church Planting Resident

Reports to: Lead Pastor
Primary Objective: Learn, apply, and execute church planting skills to grow the ministry at Restoration while preparing to plant a future church.
Residency Objective: The primary purpose of the residency program, through Leadership Pathways at Restoration Community Church, is to provide a hands on learning opportunity through relational/practical ministry experience. Residents will spend time serving in many ways, but each resident will have a primary focus on a specific ministry within the church. This experience will provide residents with a chance to gain practical ministry training, while working in an atmosphere that is both personal and professional. Under guidance, support and coaching, residents will gain knowledge in specific core competencies and test their gifts and call to vocational ministry, while developing both spiritually and theologically.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Create and maintain a ministry within the church to reach lost people
Lead a weekly worship service geared towards a specific demographic
Create a contextual ministry model that effectively reaches this demographic
Grow this ministry during your time as a resident
Manage volunteers required to engage in this mission
Work closely with the lead pastor to improve church planting ministry skills
Network with local pastors to vision cast your future as a church planter
Hours per week: Average of 25-30 hours a week

Prayerful and rooted in Jesus Christ
Belief in and adherence to the mission of RCC
Visionary leader that can attract and mobilize others
Willingness to work in cooperation with Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, Executive Director of Next Gen Ministries, and others inside and outside the church
Strong leadership ability with organizational and administrative skills as well as careful attention to detail
Comfortable with spreadsheets, word processing programs, and databases such as Fellowship One
A personal commitment to follow Jesus.
A commitment and desire to plant a church in the future
Demonstrate commitment to see RCC function within the scope of best practices in ministry principles. Agreement with the mission/vision of the RCC
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and internet navigation
Loving people into a lifestyle of passionately following Jesus
